Review of The Purge (2013) by Gaspar O — 15 Apr 2014
This is disturbing. The Purge is a good title for this film, but it could have just as easily been called This Is The Future Of America If Republicans Get Their Way. Poor people killing each other, rednecks killing anyone they can and psycho rich people killing homeless people and anyone who stands in their way to do so.
Wait a minute, I misspoke. It could have simply been called This Is America. I did enjoy it for what it was, a suspenseful thriller, and it's definitely worthy of its very short running time. Quite fun.
