The film is definitely not for the squeamish. I wouldn't recommend it to people with low tolerances for blood or gore.
However, it throws out all the bath water of what we can expect from Westerns, and shows the Old West (here in the Outback) as an ugly, brutal, inhumane place with indecency, revenge, and racism running rampant.
