Review of The Princess Switch (2018) by Jon C — 16 Nov 2018
Netflix presents another one of their X-Mas films.
'HSM' star Vanessa Hudgens stars as a double role as Stacey Denovo/Duchess Lady Margaret.
Stacey used to love X-Mas but after she broke up with her boyfriend she hasnt had a zest for the holiday or life itself.
That all might change though when she and her bakery partner Kevin get the chance to host a royal family's bakery competition in the country of Belgravia.
It's bizarre too when she notices this man who looks the same in one city and now this one, is he magical?
She then runs into Lady Margaret who looks exactly like her! she's arranged to marry the prince Edward but isnt fond of the idea since its about honor, duty and alliance between nations.
They both get the idea to switch places just to see how the other half lives for 2 days.
Turns out Edward isnt so bad and Kevin seems too perfect, yet both Stacey and Margaret fall for both.
The film's got that 'Prince and the Pauper' vibe but X-Mas-oriented.
Vanessa Hudgens is absolutely a treasure to watch playing 2 parts.
The colors of Christmas add an elegant touch to the art design as well.
Royals dont get to be normal very often and they prefer to stay out of the spotlight, sometimes things happen that dont go according to plan which can be very good.
This is one of my favorite X-Mas movies and I could not love Vanessa more than I do now :).
