Review of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1969) by Layne W — 28 Jul 2007
Kudos to Jay Presson Allen for recreating Muriel Spark's novel both as a play and a script. Each version of the story has a different focus, and it is impossible to pick a favourite. Maggie Smith owns the movie and makes us root for a woman who should command nothing but contempt.
Great writing with irresistible quotes.
