You may hate the yankees but it's impossible not to fall in love with Cooper as Lou Gehrig the man trapped in the shadows of Babe Ruth. A real american hero. This film tells the heart breaking story of how is baseball career and ultimately his life is cut short by a devastating illness.
The final scene is iconic.
