This movie seems like a glossed over version of history. Of course, this isn't simply a criticism of this film, but most biographies made this long ago. Still the film is more of a romance than anything else.
And it deals with his disease in very swift manner. Of course, on the positive side, this is your only chance to see Babe Ruth play himself in a movie.
