Review of The Presence (2010) by Mike B — 08 Sep 2013
A very big cut above the usual horror hokum. Beautifully acted and directed with no CGI high-tech crap to hide a trite script. Gets into the genuine horrors of life and evokes real pathos. Toward the end, the script gets into some demonic dullness, but as this is used to dramatize the genuine redemption of two people, one alive and one dead, it is hard to complain.
For those who like their ghost stories mature, stylish and intelligent, this is highly recommended.
