Review of The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) by Nate A — 28 Mar 2008
Yet another well-executed noir exemplifying post-war cynicism and liebestod. It's pretty decent but there are better noirs out there. Ultimately, it's too formulaic and doesn't possess as much thematic weight as say the brilliant Sunset Boulevard.
