Review of The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) by Joel A — 27 Mar 2014
A gritty/macho film quite ahead of its time for 1946 & John Garfield was undeniably a presence on screen, Lana Turner knew how to turn heads also.
The story of an affair & multiple murder attempts not going to well. Filled with many scenes that where taboo for mid 40's.
The story is a great premise but the story has holes & the characters are interesting & you follow them but their logic at times leaves you guessing. It's an interesting film that is worth checking out.
