Review of The Post (2017) by Steven V — 11 Jan 2018
A timely piece about a medium that's past it's prime. Great performances from all involved and perfect pacing makes this true story really come to life. There's really only two things that cause this to lose a star:
1. There was some information that we as viewers should have had, that we didn't.
2. The movie focuses on The Washington Post, but The New York Times really broke the story. The Post just picked it up when the Times were ordered to stop. Yes, it put the Post on the national stage, and it took a lot of guts to do what they did, but the Times deserves more credit.
