Review of The Poseidon Adventure (1972) by Nathan C — 22 Oct 2007
Guilty Pleasure Ahoy!!!
From the master of Disaster Irwin Allen .
Loads of actors is miscast roles (Gene Hackman as a preacher ,come on !!!!!) try to escape an upturned cruise ship in the producers bath.
The best thing about 70s disater movies is the nasty streak that runs thru all of them ,folks you quite like die horribly, while Ernest Borgnine just gets more grumpy.
Annoying kids ,strange old men,Frank Drebin as the Captian, people opening doors they shouldnt, messy deaths its all here.
Critics hate these movies but me I love them.
