Please what ever you do, don't choose the 2006 version over this. The characters here are flawed and unlike the remake you want them to survive. Hackman as the reluctant hero didnt need flashy effects to make him believable.
He plays a priest. In 2006, the hero is an ex-Navy Seal. Come on Hollywood!
