Review of The Poseidon Adventure (1972) by Tommy H — 30 Mar 2015
I loved watching the survivors making their way though the upside ship. The layout was very cool and it was all very disorienting. I'm not sure what type of art you would call that kind of setting.
Steampunk without the steam? Industrial-punk? Anyway, if I had to pick a disaster situation to be thrown into this would be it. I'd also like to have the level-headed Gene Hackman, the noble priest, and Ernest Borgnine for comic relief.
The interactions between him and his wife are hilarious. It's like the guy is always in panic mode. A great cast and some good special effects for the time makes this one of the better 70's disaster flicks.
