Review of The Poseidon Adventure (1972) by Toni R — 24 Jun 2009
A good movie all-around, without getting ruined by cheesy and fake special effects. Gene Hackman delivers well as the leader and Ernest Borgnine as his rebel foil. Hackman leads a group of survivors after this "unsinkable" ship is flipped by a giant tidal wave.
It's one of those movies that makes us look and see what characters we think we relate to and if we would be able to handle/lead ourselves through any disastrous situation. With good acting and cast, I give this movie a 8.
7 out of 10.
