Review of The Polka King (2017) by Max M — 19 May 2018
Sundance contender "The Polka King" certainly seems to be trying to find a deeper meaning to it's story of a Polka singer turned blissfully ignorant con man, but sadly never quite finds it.
That said, an endearingly earnest performance by Jack Black and director Maya Forbes clever sense of comic timing make the film a nonetheless entertaining way to spend an evening.
