If you liked Jack Black in "Bernie", than you will probably enjoy this movie as well. Once again, Jack Black embodies a lovable, oddball character who means well, but transgresses the law.
A great tale of the American Dream gone wrong, and how unfettered capitalism and materialism corrupt absolutely. Excellent performances by Jack Black, Jenny Slate, Jason Schwartzman, and JB Smoove.
Also, it seems worth noting that none of the CEOs of the Big Banks that decimated our economy in 2008 went to jail, despite their well-documented fraudulent business practices. However, this Polish immigrant does five years hard time and gets his throat slit in prison for doing basically the same thing on a smaller scale. Only in America...
