Review of The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) by Stephen C — 31 Oct 2007
Peter Sellers is one of my comedy heros and I have seen this film loads of times and I still find it funny.
The reason?
Well its all in the timing and Sellers is a master at this whether its trying to gain access to the castle or Interviewing suspects whilst destroying pianos.
The reason it works sooo well is that Clouseau is oblivious to the chaos that he causes.
Blake Edwards and Sellers had a Love hate relationship and Sellers would only go back to Edwards when his career was faltering.
But at the top of there game as here the films they made together are a lesson is comedic genius.
