Review of The Pink Panther (1963) by Grant B — 25 Apr 2008
How could anyone not love this comedy?
Peter Sellers took a film about David Niven's The Phantom character on his new quest: to steal the Pink Panther diamond and made it one of the greatest comedies of all time!
But Peter Sellers wasn't the only great thing about this film, though. Henry Mancini's score, Blake Edwards' direction, and the infamous animated opening title sequence w/ the now recognizable Pink Panther cartoon character by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises all made this film what it was - brilliant!
