La pelicula que introdujo al mas que inepto inspector Clouseau y al famoso dibujo animado que aparece en la maravillosa presentacion de los creditos iniciales y finales. La cinta no ha envejecido bien y aunque inicialmente se penso tener a David Niven como personaje central, interpretando al sofisticado ladron "The Phantom", es Peter Sellers y su don comico, quien termina robandose el show.
Algunos momentos genuinamente comicos y otros definitivamente tediosos.
