Review of The Pink Panther (1963) by Robyn M — 04 Jul 2012
I spent most of the time rooting for the wrong character in The Pink Panther. I wanted Peter Sellers to be the protagonist and, instead, I got David Niven. This film isn't as funny as I had hoped it would be and it wasn't very clever or original.
Inspector Clouseau really is the best part of the story. I'm surprised that this film spawned a series of successful films and a beloved cartoon character.
