I can see why this film is good, appreciated, praised etc etc. It is a very well made film!
I just don't like it though.
The character of the piano teacher herself, Erika Kohut, makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. I've seen this film three times in the hopes that my view will change- but I just feel more and more awkward as I watch it. There is something dirty and grimey about the film that I find hard to digest.
I hear the book is even more explicit.
