I found this film to be extremely confronting and repulsive. Isabelle Huppert's gives an outstanding performance, but I loathed her character. The focus on this woman's bizarre sexual desires breaks the boundaries of cinema, but I was left unsettled by Haneke's raw use of the close-up.
