Review of The Piano Teacher (2001) by Nitzan B — 02 Feb 2011
The amazing this about this film is that it's an exact reflection of it's main character. On the surface, it's look plain and boring. But suddenly, you're completely thrown off, shocked, disgusted, and appalled.
... and loving it! Strange, creepy, and beautiful, this film is about the ironies of love and sexuality, and of life in general. Although it can be a bit difficult to fully grasp at times, you can't help but fully connect with the strange characters, much thanks to the Huppert's mesmerizing performance.
