Review of The Piano (1993) by Jameson W — 19 Apr 2012
A good film lifted by a brilliant ending and two superb performances by Holly Hunter and Anna Paquin. Both Paquin and Hunter won Oscars for their performances. The story is unique to say the least; many will appreciate it as I did, while others will likely hate it.
With that aside, The Piano is a on-of-a-kind film that cannot be missed! Nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director, and winner of 3 including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.
