Review of The Pianist (2002) by Katherine P — 20 Apr 2011
It's obvious Polanski has used his own memories of the Holocaust to make this film one of the most realistic and moving depictions of that horrific period. Boosted by Brody's sensational performance, Pianist is not easy to watch but the duality of all the characters and the restraint with which they are directed is something you might only see once in a lifetime.
