Review of The Phantom Tollbooth (1970) by Shasta B — 29 Jul 2008
A wonderous and very difficult to find animated cult classic that still works almost forty years since its release. Easily one of the most remarkable, but also unseen, unappreciated and undiscovered gems of the golden age of animated films and suitable for kids and grownups.
The film looses its way a bit towards the finale, but its a small flaw in an otherwise fantastical and weird package.
