Review of The Phantom of the Opera (2004) by Cory M — 03 Apr 2012
An awesome version of the stage production. Gerard Butler is a surprisingly good phantom. His first two songs, Phantom and Music of the Night, aren't mind blowing as his voice is by no means equal to Michael Crawford's, but after Christine chooses Raoul over him he brings a raw emotion to the character that was never captured in the stage production and is simply genius.
