Before seeing this film, I thought Moulin Rouge was a good musical. After being absolutely blown away by Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum, I am never going back.

The film is amazingly written and the sets are extrodinary to look at, but the factor that makes this such a successful film is Gerard. Although Eric (the Phantom) was never supposed to look so physically pleasing, one cannot complain.

After seeing this, I could have almost forgiven Schumacher for the Batman films, then I saw the fight scene, but I believe that is the only bad part about an otherwise mindblowing film.
