I generally find Andrew Lloyd-Webber musicals tacky and overblown - this film doesn't change my opinion. Gerard Butler can sing (at least far better than Pierce Brosnan!) but doesn't have the vocal power or range to pull off these songs.
Probably for fans of the stage show only.
