Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1962) by Tony P — 28 May 2008
In spite of a low budget, the script choices are great at every turn. All characters in this 1962 effort are properly motivated, the plot isn't bogged down by too much melodrama or gore, and the bad guy (Michael Gough's part) gets it good.
One of Hammer's best non-horror productions.
