Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1962) by Tans D — 19 May 2009
Oddly enough I really enjoyed this flick. No, it would not be considered one of the best Horror films ever. But I must say that I think it is highly underrated. Never before would I have thought that I would like Hammer as much as I do.
It's one sub-genre that I've really gotten into recently. Along with Curse Of The Werewolf, this is one of the best I've seen. There were actually some REALLY creepy parts and Herbert Lom did an excellent job.
Overall, just a very entertaining and creepy Hammer film.
