This is why I created a group called "Fuck Andrew Lloyd Webber this is how The Phantom is Suppose to Be". Erik is not a beautiful slightly deformed soul. He's a hideous freak that haunts a opera house.
Lon Chaney's make up never ceases to amaze me. The unmasking of the Phantom remains one of the best scenes ever put on film.
