Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Thomas S — 18 Aug 2014
The fact that it is a silent film takes nothing away from its scariness and art. It's a magnificent film and the dedication of the actors, who obviously have to convey a wide array of emotions through facial expressions and body language only, is a prominent feature throughout.
This movie will always be one of my favourites - especially because it is silent - and undoubtedly will remain a precursor to great horror films forever.
