Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Mercedes Zoé C — 09 Jul 2007
Demasking: one of THE most memorible moments in the "horror" film history. Extra points for Chaney for not only doing his own makeup but coming out with a good product doing in.
Since the whole film is sans sound, the actors had to rely on their amazing acting skills to portray their emotions and move the story along. The film also adheres quite closely to the novel, minus some deviations. But overall if one craves "phantom" history, defi. a must seeeee.
