Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Alex B — 28 Jun 2011
Storyline: 10/10- The story of a man and his hatered of mankind⦠a different look from the book, but still an amazing story!
Characters: 9.5/10- Every character had a part you loved about them, but some characters could have been cutâ¦overall, they are great in their own ways.
Scenery: 10/10- The story takes place in Paris. The scenery is beautiful, and not too crazy for this story.
Dialouge: 9/10- While most of the dialouge is great, you could definetely cut out parts.
Point of View: 9.5/10- The story is in third person. While I do like this postion, I really do wish to have seen through the eyes of the Phantom more oftenâ¦.
Actor/Actress Choice: 10/10- Everyone did there characters well. Lon Chaney is, without a doubt, the best Phantom!
Emotion: 10/10- The emotion of this movie was strong with the points of hate and love, which not many movies are capable of doing!
Time Length: 9/10- The movie is an hour and forty one mintues. While it was good time lengthing and every scene went with the story well, the beginning of the movie felt alittle bit slowâ¦it started to go faster after about thirty mintues however.
Enjoyability: 9.5/10- The first thirty mintues are a bit slow, but after that, the movie is a great tme and definetely rewatchable!
Memorability: 10/10- This movie has left itâ(TM)s point in horror movie history. Rupert Julian will have you leave with a huge memory of this movie!
Overall: The Phantom of the Opera is a great horror film! Definetely should check it out if you are a horror movie fan!
Average: 96.5/100.
