Review of The Pervert's Guide to Cinema (2006) by Leonardo V — 28 Apr 2009
Slavoj zizek talks about cinema through the films he sees as the most relevant, he also talks about relationship between reality and fiction, and that we need fiction to survive the reality, the fiction is not only in cinema, it is the part of our every day life and we must mix that things properly, to much of each is not good, why is that? us one of the examples that we need fiction in our lives he gives 'human sexuality', specially male side .
.. us he says _ males 'can't do sex without fiction', and females enjoy in sex more when they 'talk about sex' (ok, surely some of them enjoy during, but ..the real enjoyment comes when they TALK about IT).
Zizek sometimes thinks to fast, he has many explanations, ideas, and he can be clumsy in expressing it, and annoying, but if you get into his way of thinking you will understand what is he trying to say and you will even like him.
Good stuff.
