Review of The Pervert's Guide to Cinema (2006) by Christopher S — 04 Jan 2010
An eclectic cross-section of film clips and some fascinating insights make this documentary oddity worth watching. Slavoj Zizek's psychological analysis strikes some compelling points; though when he gets into a more philosophical bent, it really depends on how much high-minded musing you can stomach (I've always found most philosophy to be a kind of intellectual masturbation, but that's just me).
Well worth watching for those who want to understand film at its deepest.
