Review of The Perfect Storm (2000) by Fong K — 02 Sep 2017
A shallow film where nothing matters. Subplots without any real relevance or resonance to the main narrative, characters without any actual characterization or emotional depth, motivation without any emotional or rational grounding: Of course the movie sinks in the end.
The characters are ultimately so thin, stupid, and unlikeable that in the end, you aren't quite hoping for them to drown, but you don't really mind when they do.
