Review of The Perfect Guy (2015) by Lukechristiansc — 04 Mar 2016
"The Perfect Guy" is a guilty-pleasure type of movie it's a predictable film of course but thanks to it's gorgeous cast, this movie couldn't be more entertaining. Michael Ealy's as the villain is captivating, after his work on the television show The Following and Think Like A Man franchise including About Last Night, I think he has a lot more in him, then were used to seeing him in these romantic-comedies.
Sanaa Lathan plays Leah Vaughn, a lobbyist, who has a successful career. She has a boyfriend Dave (played by Morris Chestnut), she breaks up with him because she wants to be married and have kids, but he's not ready.
She breaks up with him, she's heartbroken until she meets the charming and handsome Carter Duncan (Michael Ealy). Their relationship goes horribly wrong, he's obsessed with her, forcing Leah to turn the tables on the man who was Mr.
Right. Lathan's performance was okay, Chestnut was good and the best part of this movie was Ealy. Look I didn't really care for the characters, I felt like the story was silly, but Lathan makes it work.
