I rented this when it came out on video because it looked scary as hell. Wrong. Wes Craven sure delivers some duds. The only cool thing about this is that Big Ed and Nadine Hurley of Twin Peaks play husband and wife again.
The actual people under the stairs are ridiculous. About as scary as stale bubble gum. This had a lot of potential and fell flat on its face. If you think the Brady Bunch's house had some odd architecture, try this ludicrus house with all of its secret passageways.
