I am a big fan of 80s horror movies. This one is early 90s but retains the similar mix of horror, gore and, my favourite - silly humour. Contemporary horror movies seem to have jettisoned the brevity and for me, that is a shame.
I think this is an offbeat delight, silly, scary, gross and well acted. It is ludicrous too but it never fails to entertain. I think this is one of Craven's best actually!
