Review of The People Under the Stairs (1991) by Ryan S — 29 Oct 2015
Very enjoyable horror film, and one that doesn't take itself too seriously, but still manages to have a great "scare-factor" to it. Great characters as well, "Mommy" and "Daddy" are one of the strangest, most sadistic villainous pairings I've seen.
A lot of people think this is one of Wes Craven's poorer movies, but I really enjoyed it, and while it may not be Nightmare on Elm Street, it works really well as the type of movie it's supposed to be.
