Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by David Q — 15 Jan 2016
There is something simple and lovely in picking up a love letter and reading words from one to another sharing to them what it is that you love in them that others do not see or forgot to see.
That is what the Peanuts movie is - a love letter. It does not push the characters into 21st Century. Phones still have cords. Typewriters are used and no one is taking a selfie.
These are the characters we grew up with and loved. It is Charlie Brown that reminds us to be honorable, brave, funny and honest. Simple traits are always worthy of admiration. It is what makes this move one to admire, too.
