Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Jesse O — 06 Apr 2016
The Peanuts Movie,Basically an almost carbon copy outlook on my childhood years,The whole movie playing with my past feelings as a kid and in the end my happy tears came out the feeling I've never felt for so long.
The movie got almost everything right, the artstyle, animation, humor, you name it Bluesky really did an amazing job of making this classic series its movie adaptation that it deserved for so long and in this case the movie itself is now a classic!
Not many movies can make me smiles and grin throughout the whole thing and The Peanuts Movie proved that my younger happier self still exist inside of me!
Pacing is briskly good and efficient and not a minute goes by uninterested.
Story is well reads almost like my childhood life some parts almost too similar I get nervous!
Audio keeps at the family friendly level where everything is easily audible and not loud enough that I might scare the potential younger audiences.
Music are the weak stuff for this movie the absence of Vince Guaraldi Trio or even some Jazz pieces composed for the movie is quite a disappointment.
A lot were filled with "new" stuff that didn't fit the movie.
The only nagging problem I have is for such a well made almost-an-outlook-on-my-younger-life movie it's a bit short but the ending is so complete and satisfying (with a bit of huge fan service at the end) that to try add anything more would ruin its masterful ending.
This movie is now becoming my ultimate "That's so much of me" movie and probably never be beaten...Man I really wanna give Charlie Brown a hug...
