Despite some occasionally sluggish pacing and a narrative that's more than a little predictable, this modern-day "Huckleberry Finn" is one of the sweetest, most heartfelt feel good comedy-drama-road trip offerings to come along in years.
Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson turn in some of their best work here, along with fine performances by newcomer Zack Gottsagen and veterans Bruce Dern and Thomas Haden Church. This may not be epic cinema, but it's certainly satisfying, well-crafted, crowd-pleasing entertainment.
