Review of The Passion of the Christ (2004) by Chief'nyamweya C — 06 Jun 2012
It has obvious production value, but Mel Gibson chose to make The Passion into cheap exploitation under the guise of being spiritually significant. The film relies on slow-motion torture, buckets of blood, and almost comically bad demon appearances to keep your attention.
There were also some odd choices with the lighting and coloration.
