I want to like this movie because it's beautifully shot, well-acted, and has a decent script. But the movie is overcome both by the over-emphasis on the torture of Christ and the "you should feel guilty because you are a sinner and this guy died for you" message it is trying to push.
Disappointing, because this film could have been truly great had it focused on Jesus' life rather than exaggerating the horror of his death in an attempt to shock and shame its audience.
