People seem to be too whiny in this country when it comes to violence in motion pictures. I hate to break it to all the people who don't know what Jesus went through, but this IS what Jesus went through.
There is proof of it all over the place that this actually happened. And why not present it in all its grizzly detail? Why make it G or PG or even PG13? R rated is what we are presented with because IT IS WHAT FREAKING HAPPENED.
If you can't take the violence then maybe you can't handle real events. Grow up and learn to appreciate the realistic torture this man went through to save us. Even if you aren't a Christian this movie is very emotional just for the fact alone that this actually happened to a good human being who did nothing wrong.
