Review of The Paradine Case (1947) by Jeff Q — 16 Apr 2009
What a failure by the king of suspense. The marital relationship is strained and false-sounding - no woman worth her salt would put up with her husband representing someone to the detriment of the marriage.
It was so blatantly full of promise, with a stellar cast and great plot potential. Unfortunately, Hitchcock didn't fulfill the expectations he set so high at the beginning. B-.
