An underrated Hitchcock extravaganza. Peck stars as lawyer Anthony Keane defending Alida Valli accused of husband's murder. But that's just outer layer of a juicier subtext. In the end, Peck is left to choose between ideal and real.
And the conclusion is fantastic!
